Wellwood

It’s cancer … Now what?

If you don’t know where to start, START with Wellwood.

We are here to help you identify your needs, navigate the system, and access services, programs and resources – not only those provided by us, but also by other organizations.

Everything we offer is free of charge to you and your loved ones. Our programs are delivered by volunteers, and fall within the following themes:

We also provide use of our spaces, at no cost, to other cancer service organizations and support groups – as well as offering our child and youth programming to families coping with other critical illnesses.

This isn’t about “tea and sympathy” – this is about giving concrete tools to empower you on your journey – or fight – or battle. (The metaphor each of us chooses is as unique as we are.)

Both locations (one within Juravinski hospital and, the other, on Hamilton’s West Mountain) are now open Monday to Thursday, 10 to 3, as well as during all scheduled day, evening or weekend programs. If you wish to visit us outside of these hours, please connect so that we can welcome you at a time that best meets your needs.

Our hybrid model of service-delivery ensures that programs, groups, self-help resources and one-on-one peer mentoring are also available to everyone who is unable or prefers not to physically attend programs onsite.
