Squares of Care Afghans

Knitting baskets are placed at many waiting rooms throughout the Juravinski Hospital, the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and Wellwood so that enthusiastic knitters can contribute a square, or even a few stitches, to create a colourful afghan to warm, comfort or cheer someone.

The afghans are distributed widely at the Juravinski, and to pediatric cancer patients at McMaster Children's Hospital.

Drop by either of our sites to select one of these cozy and colourful creations for yourself or for someone else.  We've given away almost 17,000 to date!
