Outreach/Display Volunteer

The Outreach/Display Volunteer attends functions in the community accompanying the Wellwood display board acting as a representative of Wellwood. These functions are pre-determined by the Outreach/Display Coordinator.


  • Review personal email/voice mail messages on a regular basis for outreach opportunities as shared by the outreach coordinator.
  • Respond by email or voice mail to confirm your participation in events you have chosen.
  • Gather more information about the specific event from the coordinator or Program Director.
  • If working alone or with a partner, arrange with the office to pick up the display for the event.
  • At the event, answer questions about Wellwood programs and services, hand out materials and make referrals.
  • Arrange for the return of the display to the Wellwood office.

Skills Needed:

  • Pleasant and welcoming personality.
  • Knowledge of Wellwood’s many programs and services.
  • Access to a car is an asset but not necessary.
  • Physical ability to transport and set up Wellwood’s display to and from events.

Time Required:

Varied hours - approximately 2 - 3 hours per month or less.
